ETC 2006
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE AWARD WINNERS AT ETC! Two awards were made during the Conference. The Neil Mansfield Award for the best paper by a sole author under the age of 35 was made to Marc Gelhausen of the German Aerospace Center (DLR), for his paper entitled "Airport and access mode choice in Germany: a generlaized neural logit model approach". The judging panel was chaired by Prof Otto Anker Nielsen of the Danish Technical University. The paper can be downloaded here: (AMTP06i_Gelhausen.pdf) The Martlet Award is presented by MCL Transport Consultants to the author of the paper in public transport planning and/or management showing both innovation and application. The 2006 award went to Jonathan Goldberg of the European Metropolitan Transport Authorities, based in Paris, for his paper entitled "Draft EU regulation on public service requirements: which consequences for local public transport?". Some 450 people attended the conference and there were more than 250 presentations.
